Operation

Our elevator sump pump is very easily installed but it is essential to have the right conditions for installation. See specification page for correct sump pit size etc.

Conditions (All Systems Except ESA 50/100HF and ESA 100/100HF)

  • No water, no oil – Pump will not run
  • Water only – Pump will start running at approximately 8″ and will run until water is below the lower probe (4″).
  • Water and oil – Pump will start running at approximately 8″ of water and run until oil reaches the lower probe (4″) and then stop; if water continues to flow into the pit, the pump will run until the oil reaches the lower probe.
  • Oil only – Pump will not run. If the oil level reaches approximately 12″ the high oil/water alarm will sound.
  • High oil/water alarm -The high oil/water alarm will sound if oil is present and the level in the pit reaches approximately 12″ or if the water level in the pit reaches approximately 12″ warning that the pump has failed.

Conditions (ESA 50/100HF) and (ESA 100/100HF)

  • No water, no oil – Pump will not run
  • Water only – Pump will start running at approximately 14″ and will run until water is below the lower probe (10″).
  • Water and oil – Pump will start running at approximately 14″ of water and run until oil reaches the lower probe (10″) and then stop; if water continues to flow into the pit, the pump will run until the oil reaches the lower probe.
  • Oil only – Pump will not run. If the oil level reaches approximately 18″ the high oil/water alarm will sound.
  • High oil/water alarm -The high oil/water alarm will sound if oil is present and the level in the pit reaches approximately 18″ or if the water level in the pit reaches approximately 18″ warning that the pump has failed.

WARNING: The switch and pump are not rated for explosive environments. This product is intended for hydraulic oils only.
